The St. Louis Story
Internet Tonight's Stupid Net Tricks

Rumors have been swirling about what really went down in St
Louis ever since Internet Tonight hosts Scott Herriott and
Michaela Pereira's private plane touched down at SFO.
However, the staff here at IT want to set the record
straight and come clean on the "real" St. Louis story.
1. Producer George Crowe and Michaela Pereira lost their
shirts gambling on a river boat on the Mississippi-- False.
They lost 20 bucks each on slots... and they both kept their
shirts on.
2. Scott Herriott commandeered a limousine after wrestling
the limo driver to the ground in front of a shocked and
aghast crowd of shoppers in the parking lot of Schnucks--
False. But the IT crew did enjoy shopping at the St. Louis
grocery chain. They did ride in a limo too-- ahhh, showbiz.
3. Scott Herriott used his considerable charms to marshal
viewer support for the continuing on-camera presence of his
crusty old sneakers-- True. What do you think about those
kicks? Email us and let us know.
4. The IT crew rode in the legendary "ghost taxi" of St.
Louis-- True. The ghost taxi really does exist. Who would
believe it-- 800,000 miles and only 70 or 80 cigarette burns
in the back seat.
5. Viewer and teen idol, Kevin O'Connor annihilated Michaela
Pereira in the Oreo Slam Dunk Contest-- False. Pereira edged
out O'Connor 18 to 9.
6. The IT crew got to drive by Dan Dierdorf's and Bob
Costas's houses. Costas was nowhere to be seen, but they saw
Dierdorf, apparently half-drunk, riding around on his mower
yelling "Boomer sucks"-- False, well partly false. Local
boys Bob Costas, Dan Dierdorf, and Ozzie Smith do have
really big, nice houses. The limo driver pointed them out on
a brief impromptu "mansions of St. Louis" tour.
7. Victoria Recano's
stunt double showed up instead of her at the autograph
session-- False. That was no stunt double, it was Victoria's
sister, who strikes a startling resemblance to the ZDTV
anchor.
8. One particularly ardent fan of Internet Tonight asked the
hosts to sign his head-- False. But Scott and Michaela were
asked to sign one guy's mouse and a couple of motherboards.
